Update - We've Reached 500 Blog Fans! Maxwell Designs Thank You Giveaway is Live!

So, I glanced at my sidebar recently and realized something exciting - The Inquisitive Mom Blog is almost to 500 fans! I try not to focus too much on numbers, but reaching the big 5-0-0 would be a huge milestone for me as a blogger. I spent the afternoon nostagic about how a little family blog I started in February of 2008 with maybe 8 followers transitioned into The Inquisitive Mom in August 2009 and is now followed by nearly 500 people! - Update - The Blog Reached 500 fans last night during a BabyKicks twitter party!

I had no idea how much blogging would come to mean to me when I typed y first post. It began as a way to share anectdotes and pictures with distant family and friends, before we all joined facebook. Then I started meeting new bloggers, joining the cloth diapering community, and reviewing and giving away products on my blog.

Today, "blogger" is one of the ways I describe myself. It's kept me writing, helped me maintain my sanity, and provided amazing perpective and clarity. I look forward to blogging and wish I had time to write more. Your comments inspire me. I can't tell you how much it means to have readers interact with me on my blog and companies trust me to share their products!

I want to celebrate 500 followers with you! What better way to express my gratitude than a giveaway from one of my very favorite designers, Maggie of Maxwell Designs? I met Maggie through blogging and I think she is a wonderful, creative person with extraordinary taste and I'm proud to call her my friend. It only seems fitting to give away something from a friend I met through blogging!
