HSN just had a makeover, completely relaunching their digital channels. The redesign will elevate the customer's experience, making the site faster, more efficient, and more social. “Through our redesign HSN will further integrate content, community and commerce to create a unique shopping experience that you won’t find anywhere else,”said Jill Braff, executive vice president of digital commerce at HSN.
The new HSN will allow customers to share product finds, thoughts, and reviews in real time. Site navigation is more intuitive than before, with a simplified user interface and new 'shop by' categories. The new "20" will also allow customers to vote each day on their favorite items from 20 curated products. Votes will be tallied at midnight and customers who voted for the winning product will receive a discount on the purchase of their top pick.
HSN says this improved, heightened customer experience is intended to create a customized experience for each customer, allowing for a content-rich experience on home computers, tablets, and mobile devices. This new experience appealed to me, so I decided to visit the site and browse for myself. I found the site to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and engaging.
I appreciated the dynamic options at the bottom of the screen, offering a view of items that are "Most Favorited," "5 Star Reviews," and "Most Liked." This allowed me to easily see a variety of products purchased and highly recommended by other customers. I also appreciated the clearance section, with $1.99 shipping. I loved the breadth of items available and quickly realized I could while away hours browsing the site and sharing top picks.
