BALM! Baby recently shared three different natural skin care solutions with our family. We have sensitive skin and traditional skin and laundry products can often irritate. This is especially true for me and my youngest son. If I can find more natural, earth-friendly solutions that are gentler to our skin, I am always interested.
Natural deodorant has intrigued me for quite some time now. Is there a natural-based solution that can deodorize effectively throughout the day? Taylor’s PITS! offers a 100% natural, vegan product that is made in the USA. It is meant to soothe and deodorize “those funky, stinky, sweaty, irritated, razor-burned armpits (and feet too).” This deodorant uses a combination of organic shea butter, oils, and other natural ingredient and has a vanilla grapefruit scent.
Overall, I was pleased with Taylor’s PITS as a deodorant and as a soothing skin solution. Shaving is irritating for sensitive underarm skin and I found that a little bit of this product went a long way throughout the day. The only challenge I found with the product is that it is not also an anti-perspirent, so you definitely need to apply it more than once daily if this is an issue.
My daughter and I also have extremely dry skin – especially in the midst of a polar vortex. We have tried many solutions, including coconut oil, with mixed success. Coconut oil helped, but I wondered if I could find something with a more buttery feel. BALM! Baby Baby Butter promised a soothing, silky experience and didn’t disappoint. While this versatile product is most obviously for diaper rash, it is also a great skin care solution.
I used BALM! Baby Baby Butter in Sweet Lil’ Orange on dry, cracked, bleeding hands and noticed a difference over time. A little bit of this product goes a long way and it doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue. Unfortunately, my family was not a fan of the scent, which is definitely overpowering. I could see using this for many purposes in the future, including relieving minor boo boos and diaper rash. We will simply opt for the scent-free container in the future.
With many concerns about the ingredients in baby wash and shampoo, I also wanted to try the BALM! Baby Fresh Out of the Tub Baby Wash and Shampoo. This all in one wash contains all natural ingredients and is cruelty free. It’s made in the USA and specially formulated to keep baby’s sensitive skin clean and soft. The formula is not tear free, so you need to protect your little one’s eyes, but our kids
don’t appreciate tear-free shampoos in their eyes either.
We liked Fresh Out of the Tub with its mild scent and found that just a couple of pumps went a long way. I also loved that it came in a recycled aluminum bottle with a recycled foaming pump! BALM! Baby truly takes their commitment to the environment seriously, offering recycled container solutions for different products. What a fun opportunity to share recycling with your kids at bath time!

Their products look really nice. I like the Aluminum pump bottle. It would be nice if they offered some type of a refill option.

I am definitely interested in all three that you showed here, especially the first! I wonder how well it works with the really hardcore BO…pregnancy has not been nice to me and has been killin’ my nose no matter what I put on! TMI, I know, but I just wonder if it would work.
I want to try so many of their products but at the top of my list is the deodorant.
